Most people raised Catholic come away knowing the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and perhaps the Glory Be. The rest of it — the novenas, the chaplets, the litanies, the whole accumulated practice of twenty centuries — is sitting there unmentioned. Not withheld, exactly. Just never handed over. This site hands it over.
Everything here is given in full. Not a summary, not a title with a link somewhere else, not the first line and an invitation to buy the book. The whole prayer, on the page, free, working on a phone, and still working when the phone has no signal. Where a text is still in copyright it is cited and linked rather than reproduced, and where an English rendering was needed we made our own from the earliest public-domain source.
The prayers carry no status label. Nearly every one is approved by any reckoning, so saying so stated the obvious — and on the few never formally examined it read as a verdict when it was only silence. Nobody arriving here to pray is filtering by canonical status. Where something about an item should be known it sits behind More info on its own page, and where a popular claim about a devotion’s pedigree could not be sourced the page says so, because that is the part that protects a reader. A reader who discounts everything unproven should still find what remains worth having; that is the test we apply to ourselves.
There are no accounts, no email capture, no advertising, no cookies, no cookie banners, and nothing about you counted, scored or streaked. Cloudflare keeps an anonymous count of visits (how many, from which country, from which link) with nothing that identifies you or follows you elsewhere. What you pray is saved in your own browser and is never sent anywhere — which also means it is yours to lose, so there is a button in settings that saves it to a file. Nothing on this site is for sale.
There is one place to add your own words: the prayer intentions, where anyone may ask for prayer and anyone may mark that they prayed for someone. A first name, or none at all — no account, nothing kept about you. The number beside an intention is a tally of prayers offered for it, not a score on anyone; it is counted for the person who asked, never about the person reading.
The prayers are effective without promises. Nine days of showing up changes the person praying at least as much as it changes anything else, and any site that tells you otherwise is selling something.
